Monrovia-Liberia Football Association second division outfit Blackman Warriors FC kick start their tour in Azerbaijan with a hard fought draw away from home.

The Liberian club is currently in the European and Asian country on a two-week trial.
Warriors left Liberian on January 5 and reached in Baku on January 9thwhere they will have several friendly matches with clubs in that part of the world all in a move to create opportunities for Liberian players.
BMW and Moldovian top-flight club Dinamo Youth team played out to a 1-1 draw in a friendly game in Baku, on Wednesday January 10, 2024 at the Abseron Olimpiya Idman Sports Pitch in Baku.
Francis Doe scored the Warrior’s goal in their first friendly game in Arzebaijan to sealed a point in their first of many matches to come.
It was a spectacular performance from the visitors who controlled the match but could not pulled a win because their players were not used to the cold weather.
The Liberian Second Division side is expected to participate in more actions in the coming days with top clubs.
Black Man Warrior’s 21-man delegation was warmly welcomed to Baku, Azerbaijan upon arrival on Tuesday.
The delegation was received by Agent, Hamed Daghestani, Reza Ebrahimi, Omid Jalali, M.k_gk Omid Jalali, and others who presented flowers to each member of the delegation.
Blackman Warriors delegation is headed by JK Academic Agency CEO, Agent Julius Jay Kwateh.
Blackman Warriors delegation departed Monrovia for Azerbaijan to participate in a trial for two weeks.
The team, accompanied by the club General Secretary George Elliot and Administrative Manager-Albert Sarweah, first travel to Ivory Coast where they stayed for two days before catching a flight to Azerbaijan.
The delegation headed by JK Academic Agency CEO, Julius Jay Kwateh, includes 18 players, head Coach Abraham Sese, and Media Officer, Joseph M. Vincent.
The trip is initiated by BMW in collaboration with JK Academic Agency based In Indonesia.
The idea of the program is to help Liberian players through BMW explore their talents because players from other local clubs will also benefit from the initiative.
Apart from Warriors’ players, Shaita FC striker, Momo Blamo and midfielder Sean Barry of Heaven Eleven are among the 18 players heading to Azerbaijan.
