Mamba Point Warriors Secure Second Win

Monrovia–The Football Association central Monrovia third division outfit Mamba Point Warriors FC  has continued their impressive start to the new league  season with a crucial win over Down Town FC   at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia.

The boys from Mamba Point  fought hard to beat experience Down Town FC  3-2 to the disbelief of Down Town fans.

Strikers Jankualbah Kamara, Christopher B. Jallah, scored Mamba Point Warriors FC first and second goals through  a perfect placement in the 24th, 35th minutes respectively and Abraham Kamara hit in their third goal through header in the 83rd minute.

Down Town FC two goals were scored by Gabriel Omale and Isaac Paintsil in the 29th and 44th minutes respectively.

Mamba point Warriors FC striker Jallah attributed his side victory over Down Town FC to their commitment and hard work.

He however called on his teammates to remain focus as they prepared for the challenged ahead of them and thanked his team head coach Jerry Gonowolo for the coaching tactics he has continue to displayed.

He added that the training they have undergo has  helped them to scored two straight victories from two games played so far in the league and hoped that they will secure mire wins.

Coach Jasper Koon head coach of Down Town FC  blamed members of his team forward line failure to put into batter use the majority of scoring chances they had  especially in the second half of the game

He meanwhile called on his players to learn from their mistakes they made and  prepare themselves for their next games.

In the day’s early kickoff at the ATS, National Youth Street Soccer defeated Lofa FC 2–1 which was their second in succession and Coach Obadiah K. Kollie called on his players to keep on their good ball possession and finishing.
