Gardnersville, Montserrado County – The representative bid of Edward P. Flomo got a big boost over the weekend when thousands of supporters, all dressed in green colors, gathered at the Iron Factory football field to pledge their support to his candidature.
Mr. Flomo, alias ‘Color Green’ is among 12 candidates that are vying for the representative seat of Montserrado County District#13 which was left vacant following the election of Saah Joseph as Senator of Montserrado.
Addressing the crowd during the official launch of his campaign, Flomo promised to continue his development initiatives when elected and stressed that education, healthcare and agricultural activities will be at the center of his legislative agenda.
For education, he promised to liaise with his colleagues to build a public high school and vocational center in the district and create scholarship opportunities for the young people.
In order to boost agriculture, Flomo, popularly called Color Green avowed that his office will work with the constituents if elected to engage in swamp rice cultivation, noting, “We will make use of the wetlands in our district to grow more food for our people.”
The Montserrado District#13 Representative Candidate also vowed to scale up his ongoing loan scheme to empower many small and medium-sized businesses.
“I will empower men and women by supplying them with various goods. I will engage the Ministry of education to build another public school with vocational activities within the new Georgia belt. This will give our children the equal opportunity to compete with their peers from other parts of the county,” he pledged. In their respective endorsement speeches, Moses Zemah (Elder Council), Edward O. Wesseh (Physically challenged) and Rev. Richard Reeves (Religious community) pledged their unflinching support to the representative bid of Mr. Flomo and urged voters to choose #2 on the ballot paper.

He is a successful businessman and the Chief Executive Officer of the Family Choice Business Center and one of few Liberian importers of building materials, rice and other basic commodities.
