MONROVIA – Defending Liberia Football Association (LFA) First Division champions Watanga FC have strengthened their attacking options with the signing of striker George A. Jangaley from Gardnerville FC ahead of the 2026/2027 football season.

Gardnerville FC confirmed the transfer in an official statement, announcing that Jangaley has departed the club after two memorable seasons to begin a new chapter with the reigning league champions.
“We can confirm that player George A. Jangaley has been transferred to Watanga FC. After an incredible two seasons with us, the player opted for a new challenge, choosing Watanga FC as his next destination. We want to thank player Jangaley and wish him all the best in his future endeavors,” the club stated.
Jangaley leaves Gardnerville after establishing himself as one of the club’s key attacking assets.
His standout performances caught the attention of Watanga’s technical staff as the Paynesville-based club looks to reinforce its squad ahead of its title defense.
Shortly after the transfer was finalized, the forward shared an emotional farewell message to Gardnerville FC, expressing gratitude for the role the club played in his development.
“It has been an honor to be part of this great team. I am truly grateful to my coaches, teammates, management, and fans for everything you have done for me during my time here,” Jangaley wrote on his official Facebook page.
The striker added that his tenure at Gardnerville helped him mature both as a footballer and as an individual, noting that the memories created at the club would remain with him throughout his career.
He also wished the club continued success in future competitions, reassuring supporters that he would always remain a fan of Gardnerville FC despite embarking on a new professional challenge.
