Liberia: Presidential Escort Vehicle Involved in Fatal Accident, Killing One

Margibi County-A vehicle from President Joseph Nyuma Boakai’s escort convoy has reportedly struck a commercial motorcyclist and his passenger in Todee District, Montserrado County, resulting in one fatality and leaving another in critical condition.

According to eyewitness accounts, the incident occurred when the last vehicle in the convoy — identified as a Liberia National Police escort car bearing license plate number 249, Zone #8 — collided with the motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, identified as Peter Kamara, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, identified as Caroline Bono, was rushed to a nearby medical facility and is said to be in critical condition.

Witnesses say the victims were traveling from Todee District at the time of the accident.

Authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.
