The result sees the Liberian club eliminated at the preliminary stage following a 0–0 draw in the first leg in Monrovia.

Fassell head coach Amir Alagić made changes to his starting lineup in an effort to improve attacking efficiency, bringing in forward Victor Mansaray and veteran midfielder Zah Krangar. The team had registered only one shot on target in the first leg.

However, MC Alger took control early in the match. In the 19th minute, defender Titus Yeah failed to clear a header inside the box, allowing Ayoub Abdellaoui to score the opening goal past goalkeeper Ahmad Savage.

Fassell nearly responded minutes later, but Josiah Cea’s effort was denied by MCA goalkeeper Abdelatif Ramdane after a buildup involving Krangar.

MC Alger doubled their lead just before halftime. A defensive miscommunication between Savage and defender Josephus Mentor gave Soufiane Bayazid the opportunity to score, making it 2–0.

In the second half, Fassell introduced Ndene Cissé and Mark Paye in search of a comeback. Despite improved intensity and multiple saves from Savage, the Liberian side continued to struggle in front of goal.

MC Alger sealed the victory in stoppage time. With Fassell reduced to ten men after using all their substitutions, substitute Amine Messoussa capitalized on a counterattack following a Fassell free kick to score the third goal.

The 3–0 loss ends FC Fassell’s first appearance in Africa’s premier club competition. The team is expected to shift focus to domestic competitions, with the experience seen as a key development step for the club.
