Liberia: PCC Launches HR, Payroll, and Financial Systems to Boost Efficiency and Transparency

Paynesville, Liberia – The Paynesville City Corporation (PCC), under the leadership of Mayor Robert Bestman, has officially launched its Human Resource, Payroll, and Financial Systems. This initiative, held under the theme “Transforming Efficiency and Innovation,” tends to modernize the city’s administrative processes, improve accountability, and enhance service delivery.

The occasion graced by a cross-section of citizens, including community leaders, and other stakeholders is part of the city’s drive to adopt innovative solutions to improve productivity and transparency.

Officially launching the program, Mayor Robert Bestman, ll underscored the importance of the systems, stating that, “This program will limit our reliance on outdated paper processes and adopt a digital approach that promotes efficiency and accountability.” He said “Without a good financial system, essential tasks like paying workers become a challenge. To fix this country, we must manage resources effectively, and this initiative is designed to close gaps and make our work easier.”

Mrs. Hawa Dee Sheriff-Dunbar, PCC’s Director of Human Resources, lauded the systems for their potential to revolutionize human resource management. “This initiative is a game-changer for how we manage our workforce, ensuring that processes such as recruitment, payroll, and performance tracking are handled with accuracy and efficiency,” she stated.

Representative Sumo Mulbah, speaking on behalf of the Paynesville Legislative Caucus, expressed support for the initiative. “This program creates a transparent foundation for resource management and good governance. The caucus is fully committed to supporting this progressive move,” Mulbah said.

The systems, developed in collaboration with PCC’s HR and Controller team and software experts, are designed to streamline payroll, improve financial reporting, and enhance overall city management.

The event concluded with a commitment from community leaders and stakeholders to work collaboratively with PCC in ensuring the success of the initiative, marking a new era of innovation and accountability in Paynesville.
