Speaking in an exclusive interview with FrontPage Africa, SOURGE Soccer Liberia Country Director Amos D. Gayflor said the fitness coaching course is not only for beginners but for coaches who want to learn the new methodology and improve their coaching skills.
Mr. Gayflor explained that his organization’s fitness course is a beginner course and is not only for football coaches but rather for coaches in basketball, volleyball, kickball, and Track and Field, owners of gyms and people who are entrepreneurs that want to do business.
He stressed that only 25 coaches will be allowed to participate in the organization course.
“Now FIFA and CAF are encouraging every association to organize a fitness course because many at times some of the players are not fit and that could cause some of them to collapse on the field of play so FIFA has made it a mandatory that each association must assign fitness coaches to their clubs because that will this training that will last for three days will help to boost the performance of their players.” Gayflor said.
Mr. Gayflor acknowledged that the cost of the training coaching course is 75 USD and that 20 USD from the 75 USD must be paid per person for registration and once they go through this level one (1) course and focus on the training, they will be able to help boost the game skill of their players.
“You don’t have to be a coach before you can come for the training because the course is for beginners that have the intention of helping others to build their physical, spiritual, and emotional being of a person so I will continue to call on interested people to try their best and be part of this important training program.”
SOURGE Soccer Liberia Country Director explained that his organization is trying to encourage coaches and interested individuals to send their coaches or trainers to participate in the fitness course.
“Fitness comes first that is why FIFA CAF have continued to encourage us to engage in this fitness coaching course the organization that is running this course is called TotalFit and people in countries like the United States of America are paying 699 USD but for you here in Liberia you only going to pay 75 USD.” He revealed. Gayflor added.
