Monrovia – The Head Coach of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) third division side, Soccer Ambassadors, has attributed their 3-3 draw with Red Lions FC in the LFA Central Monrovia Sub-Committee third division league on Monday, January 15, 2024, at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia, to the failure of his forwards to capitalize on scoring opportunities.

Coach Karmoh Massaquoi expressed disappointment, stating that if his players had effectively applied the ball possession techniques and finishing touches he had trained them on, they could have dominated the 90-minute play. However, the team struggled throughout the league match.
“I blame the members of my forward line for their failure to make better use of the several scoring opportunities in both halves of the 3-3 draw we had with Red Lions. I want to make it clear to them that we will undergo serious revamping of the entire team to enhance our chances of winning our upcoming games,” Massaquoi emphasized.
In response, Coach Francis C. Doe, the head coach of Red Lions, viewed the 3-3 draw with Soccer Ambassadors as a positive sign of his players’ recovery from previous mistakes. Doe urged his team to put in their best effort to secure nine points in their last three games of the ongoing first phase of the league, aiming to qualify for the second round.
“I’m calling on my players to strive for straight nine points in our remaining three games because these points will position us comfortably for the second round of the league. I hope they will showcase the new ball control and tactical finishing touches they learned from the training ground,” urged Coach Doe.
