Paynesville City- New Lone Star head coach, Mario Marinica describes the national team of Liberia players of being “too slow” during his unveil ceremony at the Liberia Football Association headquarters.

“My football philosophy is adaptable to the players. For the moment the team is playing a little slow and we need to be dynamic. So we have to adapt the philosophy to the available players,” Marinica whose new side has lost two matches in the World Cup qualifiers.
He added “My philosophy is to win and we go with that over and again and we will work with adoptable plans and strategies in order to get the desire results “, he noted.
The Romanian tactician who holds a UEFA Pro License, formerly coached Malawi, penned a two-year contract at the Football House.
Marinica’s mandate is to ensure that Liberia reach the AFCON finals for Morocco 2025, according to the LFA second-vice president Adolphus Dolo.
The newly appointed coach was also provided the chance to bring in two foreign backroom staff by the LFA. He brought to himself, a video analyst and physio from South Africa and Malawi respectively.
The Marinica has been told to pick to a local coaches who asked, if he knows Liberia, disclosed he research the team and knows the players have qualities to do achieve their objective.
“I know Liberian Football very well. I was coach of Malawi and I know what happened and I will do my best”, he reassured supporters.
