Monrovia — The Liberia Football Association have disclosed plans to host an International Tournament for the U-20 Male Team.
According to the Football house the planned tournament is expected kickoff from 17th to 25th February, 2024.
The much anticipated youth tournament if all goes well will have four teams participating as young talents from various countries compete for supremacy .
In preparation for this international showdown, the Technical Team of U-20 “Lone Star” headed by from Liberian international now Coach Kelvin Sebwe has made a call for open sessions, inviting players from both the First and Second Division levels who meet the age requirement.
A released from the FA issue on Wednesday said players born between January 1, 2007, and December 31, 2004, are eligible for selection based on performance.
The LFA said as part of preparing for the tournament at home an open training will kick start t on Thursday, 1st February, 2024, at the SKD Practice Pitch.
The sessions will start at 7:00 AM, allowing players ample time to showcase their skills to the Technical Team.
The tournament is expected serves as a remarkable opportunity for young footballers to represent Liberia on an international stage and make their country proud.
The U-20 “Lone Star” Technical Team encourages aspiring players to seize such chance and demonstrate their passion for the sport.
