Monrovia-Stakeholders of the Liberia Tennis Federation (LTF) Saturday January 13, 2024 elected Mr. Paul Jamaal King as President of Liberia Tennis Federation.
Paul Jamaal King defeated Patrick Sama and Cllr. John Puieyoe on Saturday to become the first elected LTF president since 2014.
Mr. Charles Lawrence was elected on white ballot as Vice President.
Mr. Daniel Dean defeated Mr. Lekpele M. Nyamalon with one vote difference to win the LTF Secretary General post.
There were no candidates for the Assistant Secretary and Treasurer positions.
The new LTF leadership will run the affairs of the federation for two years.
Conflict had stalled the LTF league and election activities since Mr. Adophus Wade’ leadership tenure expired in 2016.
The new Leadership team has a huge task of rejuvenating or reawakening the Tennis Sport.
This, Mr. Charles Lawrence, VP Elect says is key to the administration.
There are high expectations among Tennis Stakeholders that the election of a new Leadership will restore hopes for the sport.
