Emmance Gartoun Zackpah, a former gloves man who plied his trade with the Giant Killers from 2010 to 2018, made a donation of soccer boots to the team as they search for 2nd division qualification.
Choicy, as he is affectionately called by his fans, currently resides in the USA. Early this year, he purchased the championship t-shirt that the team wore after they won the Gardnersville Sub-Committee league unbeaten.
Receiving the items was the team CEO Samir AT Kamara, alias Pepper Peru, who was overwhelmed by the kind gesture of his former player, and not only Choicy but the majority of the former players.
“I am grateful to have such a unique family that is very supportive towards the team,” Kamara, a former player himself, said.
He lamented that his former players are generous and they never cease to amaze him as they continue to give back to the club in a positive way.
“The last time it was Allen Njie, today it’s Emmance Zackpah. Going forward, you will see more and more because our former players are so thoughtful and know what it takes to be former students of ‘The Soccer School of Excellence’.”
“The entire Pepper FC family is grateful and wants to extend their thanks and appreciation to Emmance and all former players for their numerous contributions and support towards the team,” Kamara said at the presentation ceremony.
Emmance has, however, promised to do more for his former club as a way of giving back.
