Monrovia-Paynesville FC winger Edward Ledlum has been named the most valuable player (MVP) of the 2022/2023 Orange-sponsored Liberia Football Association (LFA) season.

Ledlum saw off competitions from LISCR FC striker Christopher Jackson and Ishmael Dumbouya of Bea Mountain who formerly played for LISCR FC and Abraham Kouyateh of Watanga FC.
The award which was voted for by club captains, coaches and accredited sports journalists, who covered the LFA league and the public, saw Ledlum who played for Bea Mountain during the 2022/2023 league season but switch to Paynesville FC for the current league season beat the league top goal score Christopher Jackson, Dumbouya and Kouyateh to award.
The skillful winger as price for his achievement walked away with a SUV car as MVP of the Liberia.
Following the announcement of Ledlum as MVP he was full of joy and appreciated his fans, teammates, coaches, captains and sports journalists who voted him as the best player in the country.
“How do I even begin to describe this moment? Long awaited? Long overdue? It’s a goal that every soccer player hopes to achieve,” he said.
The LFA Best player describer his family support to him throughout his career as his unique source of love something he said he is eternally grateful for their faith in me.

According to Edward Ledlum his critics constructive feedback and honest assessments pushed him to grow and improve as an athlete. Stressing that their scrutiny made him resilient, and has taught him to embrace challenges and turn them into opportunities.
The gala was sponsored by Doxxbet-Liberia, who have served as sponsored of the LFA award ceremony for the past three years.
The Liberia Football Association (LFA) and Doxxbet Liberia signed a three-year sponsorship deal extension valued at US$125,000 for the individual awards in June of 2023.
Under the agreement, the funds will be allocated to individual awards at the conclusion of the LFA National Leagues. A cash payment of US$120,000 will be made, while an additional US$5,000 will be provided for solar lights and their installation at the LFA headquarters.
Doxxbet became the official sponsor of the LFA awards after the two parties agreed to a sponsorship of US$24,000 in 2019. The contract was subsequently renewed in 2020 and increased to US$100,000 for three years in August.
Tony FC now Shaita FC striker Momo Blamo won the second division MVP and highest goal scorer award , while in the female category Shaita Angles FC new girls Miatta Morris won the MVP for the female division and Ambassador FC striker Decontee Jackson walked away with the top goal scorer in the women’s league.
Miatta Morris also walk away with a car as price for her displayed during the league season.
Emmanuel Deanneh formerly of Bea Mountain FC was named the best goalkeeper in the first division for the most clean sheets.
FIFA -badged Assistant referee Joel Doe was named the best male referee while Lovetee Sector was crowned the female best referee.
