Monrovia-Former Liberian international Doco Wesseh has be officially unveiled as the new Technical Director of the Liberia Football Association.

Wesseh who has been working in the United States of America over ten years now replaced the late Henry Browne who served in the position for eleven years (2012 – 2023).
The former Lone star and Invincible Eleven midfielder was unveiled Thursday November 30, 2023 at the Liberia football Association headquarters in Congo Town.
LFA president Mustapha Raji told the media that Wesseh has a two year contract to help develop a strong grassroots program for the next generation of Liberian footballers.
Raij disclosed that Wesseh signed a two-year contract with an option to extend based on performance.
“The current program is to ensure solidified youth football programs that we started in the past , focusing on the Under 17,15, structure boys and girls Under 20 teams and to build a strong national team locally so they will help in terms of restructuring and looking at other areas where we have challenges.
He added that the technical director will be responsible for the implementation of the football development plan of the LFA and also manage all of the youth national team.
“We are happy today to introduce two new members who will be supporting our football agenda up to 2026”
He added that Moussa Sheikh Kamara technical consultant of the LFA will focus on youth football development in the country to ensure that he scout the best talents for the various youth national teams.
Speaking during his unveiling Doco Wesseh said it’s an honour to be called by his country to give back is something he appreciate so much.
“I will use my expertise to help make the Association better and I will also trust that I will learn a lot for you guys as well because I am new into the system,”
“I’m not perfect but I’ll demand more from my colleagues for the betterment of the game,” new Technical Director, Doco Wesseh.
When asked what is needed at the LFA that he will bring to the football house he said” I see that we don’t have a comprehensive youth system that will be use as a pathway in to our completive program, in every developed system the youth system is the system that lead to the feature of any national team. So if we don’t have a youth system that ready to feed than we can’t be successful,”
He ensure Liberians that he will help to build the youth system through the LFA grassroots program that will serve as indicator for the talent Development program at the Liberia.
