Monrovia – Liberia captain Teah Baysah Dennis has apologized to his family and well-wishers for his verbal outbursts on social media in the wake of his death news.

Writing on Facebook, Dennis said he was compelled to respond in such a manner and form out of anger.
“Ladies and gentlemen, out of anger and my precious life, I responded harshly to the rumors of my death but I stop by to say I am sorry.
I am sorry because I know every man errs and we are human and liable to mistakes.
“Again, I want to say to my fans, who are so concerned about me and were relying on those rumors that, I am alive and well.”
“I am sorry for the way I approached you all and please forgive my actions.
“We are all good people and trying to watch each other’s backs but things happened.
I love you all and let’s work together, unite ourselves, inquire of each other and continuously show love for each other. Forgive me, please.
I love you all sincerely,” Dennis wrote on March 7.
While Liberians were trying to grapple with the horrible death news of popular musician Quincy L. Burrowes (alias Quincy B) on March 3, the rumormongers also had it that Dennis was also dead.
But Dennis played the entire match as Jordan’s Al-Ahli Sports Club drew 1-1 with Iraq’s Al Zawraa in the 2017 Asian Football Confederation Cup at the Amman International Stadium in Amman on March 6.
He was playing amid the continuous circulation of his death news like a wildfire in the bush.
Malick El Hadji gave Ahli a 35th minute lead but Alaa Abdul Zahrah equalized from the penalty spot in the 61st minute.
The draw leaves Syria’s Al-Jaish Sports Club, who beat Oman’s Al-Suwaiq Club 1-0 at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Muscat on March 6, topped of Group A with six points.
Zawraa have two points while Ahli and Al-Suwaiq have a point respectively.
Family members, friends and sports lovers became concerned and placed several calls to me to confirm or deny the news.
A Facebooker, Ike Peacekeeper Moore, wrote on March 3: “Is Liberia captain Teah Dennis dead? Somebody please tell me.”
Concerned about the news, Dennis took to Facebook to, apparently, announced his resurrection.
“To all my friends in Liberia and outside, I [have] heard news concerning my death from several corners.
I know that we are not here forever but right now I am still alive [and] doing good! I wish us all well and let us be mindful how we spread news. God bless us all,” he said.
Not satisfied with his resurrections, the rumor mails hilariously insinuated that somebody created that account to appease Teah’s family, friends and admirers.
But Dennis was now incensed when Bush Chicken’s T. Kla Wesley phoned and recorded him on IMO.
“Look Wesley, I don’t know where the people are taking this news from that I am dead; I am in sick bush; I am in Ghana. I don’t know where they are taking that news from that I am in [Grand] Cape Mount [County, Liberia].
That is complete bullshit. That is complete bullshit, brother. Nobody knows anything about me. They are spoiling my reputation.
They are telling people that I am fag (faggot or gay). I am this one and that one. That is complete bullshit. This morning, I was sleeping and my girl called to say that my name is in Liberia that I am dead.
“Where are they taking that kind of news from? You see all these things, Kla Wesley, that God. I will live long. God will make me to see plenty, plenty, plenty, plenty more years. That’s bullshit, that’s bullshit brother. Pay, later mehn!” he hanged-off.
Dennis, who returned to Jordan after his loan with Sarawak ended on December 31, 2016, has apologized after he realized that his emotions got the better of him.
He was brought in to replace Italy’s Davide Grassi, who was axed during the second transfer window in June 2016 and was retained for the 2017 season ahead of the tour of Australia.
Dennis led Barrack Young Controllers FC to the Liberian Football Association (LFA) first division titles in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and 2013 LFA Cup and Super Cup in 2014 before moving to Jordan on loan in 2015.
He impressed the FAS selection committee after playing for Sarawak in a few friendly matches while on trial.
Dennis, who has 30 international caps, last played for Liberia in a 4-1 defeat to Tunisia in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Monastir on September.
