Pretoria, South Africa – Jeremy Brockie scored a hat trick for SuperSport United that swept aside Liberia’s Champions Barrack Young Controllers 5 -0 in a ruthless attacking display in the Confederation of African Football Cup on Sunday in Pretoria, South Africa.

The forward led the way as SuperSport United qualifies for the CAF Cup group stage in grand fashion after they were held to a 1-1- draw in Liberia .
Three minutes into the match the home side took the lead through Thabo Mnyamane who was in the right place to get the match opener from six yards after a cross from the right wing beat the entire defense of BYC.
Prince Jetoh broke SuperSport United dangerous attacking play as he intercepted a true ball from Teboho Mokoena in the 17th minute while SuperSport United defender Tefu Mashamaite missed a free header a minute later.
Randy Dukuly 20 yards shot was blocked awarding the visitors their first corner kick of the match.
Playing at a virtually empty Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium in Pretoria, the home team doubled the lead after poor ball judgment by Hilton Varney as the left back miscalculated to head a ball that beat him as Aubrey Modiba controlled the ball well before connecting Brockie who placed the ball at the back of the net from a tight position.
Prince Saydee was lively throughout the match for BYC with his pace and skillful display a cross ten minutes from the winger to the end of first half went off the post by inches but could not save BYC from going down.
Bility header hit the post ball due to Clayton Daniels deflection ending the first half 2-0 to the home side.
Back from the lockout rooms the Liberian Champions started the match aggressive with David Tweh 47th minute craving ball hitting the post to the disbelief of the fans and his teammates.
Brockie strike in his second goal of the afternoon after exchanging play with Mokoena and strike from over the eighteen yard box to complete his brace in the 53rd minute.
Sporo Somah was introduced in the 57th the minute for Abdulai Bility but his presence was not notice.
United was awarded a penalty in the 63rd minute for a reckless challenge on Mnyamane by Hilton Varney as the Cameroonian referee point to the spot for a penalty and issued Varney a yellow card.
Brockie converted penalty to goal as Allenton Sembeh had no answer but to take the ball from the net.
However, Brockie was substituted later for Fagrie Lakay who lasted less than three minutes on the pitch to add his name on the score sheet.
His low range strike from inside the penalty box beat Sembeh to secure a 5-0 victory for the South African and qualified them to the Group stage on a 6-1 aggregate victory in favor of SuperSport United due to the first leg which ended 1-1in Monrovia
BYC Coach Copper Sannah introduced Van-Dave Harmon and Gideon Williams for Randy Dukuy and Abraham Koff Dougbeh in the second half but their introduction was too late to change the game for BYC.
Jeremy Brockie said reaching the group stage was great for United after difficult time during midweek,
“We left Liberia very down and now this is incredible. We were prepared for all this. The fans were like 10 extra players and in the end this is all for them.”
BYC Coach Sannah told reporters that he is disappointed by the result and said his players have learned a lot from their defeat.
“It’s a nightmare for everyone, five goals in today’s match is very difficult everybody upset but now.
The Liberian Champions will now have to focus on their National League after been knockout of both the CAF Champions League and the CAF Cup.
