Monrovia – Liberty Party Acting Chairman Maxwell Grisby says the United States rejection of a third term is possible in Liberia.
The Liberty Party Acting Chairman says Donald Trump’s victory in the U.S. elections was a caveat to the ruling Unity Party that a third term is not possible.
LP Acting Chairman said that the defeat of Secretary Clinton was a protest vote by the Americans that they were not comfortable with a third term Democrat presidency, adding that Liberians can do the same.
“We want to congratulate the Republican candidate, with Hilary Clinton’s years of experience in politics; the American people said that a third term was not possible.
“This is something the Liberian people have been saying, our people cannot wait for 2017,” Grisby said.
Acting Chairman Grisby outlined series of activities his party will embark on ahead of the 2017 general and presidential elections.
“As part of that rebranding process, Liberty Party has endeavored to create more visibility across the country by acquiring new and standard offices in the leeward counties.”
“Our partisans in those localities have found this to be an added source of motivation, and are moving with deliberate speed in taking Liberty Party to the rural population,” Grisby added.
Grisby said the party remains very grateful to Liberians who have seen the Liberty Party as the viable alternative come 2017.
“Together with them we will continue to accelerate our speed down the road to the 2017 polls.
“We make these monumental gains amongst the electorate and major stakeholders in the political equation of our country; we are not in the least unmindful of our obligation to rebrand our institution.”
“As a matter of fact, it was first of all, as a result of the re-branding process that our party has continued to attract the attention of well-meaning Liberians,” LP Acting Chairman said.
Grisby revealed the opening of the party new headquarters and the launch of what he termed as the “green revolution” to showcase the party’s strength in Montserrado County.
“This event code named ‘Green Revolution’ will mark the beginning of a progressive process of altering the political landscape of Montserrado County.”
“We are determined to demystify the myth associated with a single-party control over Montserrado County. This we will do with every application of our ingenuity, knowing that the political future of our country.”
“Our party is determined to create a formidable battleground in Montserrado County and other parts of Liberia superficially considered control territory of opposing party.”
The LP Chairman calls on his partisan to turn out in their numbers to grace the green day program.
“As we move down the road to 2017, we call on all Liberty Party partisans to rekindle the spirit of Liberty that inspires their membership into this responsible, organized and progressive institution of ours to come out triumphantly to join the green day, a historic making day in the life of our esteem party.”
