During an interview with FrontPageAfrica on Saturday, held at the official closing of the party’s campaign in Monrovia, Senator Nyounblee-Karnga Lawrence stated that they are actively working to deploy poll watchers in 12 out of the 15 counties.
She further assured the public that the remaining three counties would also have poll watchers in place by the end of Monday. Senator Nyounblee-Karnga Lawrence stated, “We have done everything required to protect our votes. We want to assure Liberians that their votes will be safeguarded.”
The Unity Party’s campaign team, led by Grand Bassa County Senator Nyounblee-Karnga Lawrence, along with members of other parties collaborating with Unity, maintain an optimistic outlook for a one-round victory. They are determined to avoid unnecessary delays.
The Unity Party, under the leadership of former Vice President Joseph Boakai, is seeking to unseat incumbent President George Weah, who represents the ruling coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) in the upcoming election on Tuesday, October 10th.
