MONROVIA – As the vigorous campaign for the re-election of His Excellency President George Manneh Weah continues, a group of residents of the Paynesville Town Hall Community, under the banner “Kemayah Associates of Town Hall Community,” stormed the headquarters of the Movement for Economic Empowerment (MOVEE) to join efforts with the party in campaigning for the re-election of President George Manneh Weah.
On Saturday, August 26, 2023, members of the Kemayah Associates of Town Hall Community gathered at the headquarters of the MOVEE to officially declare support and join the campaign for the re-election of President Weah.
According to the residents, their move is in appreciation of MOVEE’s Political Leader, Amb. Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr., who they say supports all developmental initiatives of the Paynesville Town Hall community and lives well with them in the community.
Receiving the group on behalf of Ambassador Kemayah, who is presently on campaign tour with President Weah in the Western Region, MOVEE National Chairman, Hon. Robert M. Sammie, welcomed members of the Kemayah Associates of Town Hall Community and expressed gratitude for their decisions to support the re-election of President Weah. Mr. Sammie said President Weah deserves a second term based on the numerous developments initiated by his government. The National Chairman of MOVEE admonished the residents not to be fooled by any politicians, especially those calling themselves rescuers, whom he described as deceptive. MOVEE’s National Chairman said there is nowhere in the world where an eighty-year-old man can become a commercial bus driver, much less a train driver.
Meanwhile, Mr. Sammie urged the residents to see themselves as a pivotal auxiliary for the re-election of President Weah and assured them of Ambassador Kemayah’s continuous support for the community.
Speaking earlier in separate remarks, members of the community leadership expressed appreciation to Ambassador Kemayah for always supporting the community in all of its undertakings. They praised the MOVEE Political Leader for his unceasing contributions towards the development of the community and for showing concern for the livelihood of residents of the community.
The Community Chairman, Mr. Mark M. Tulay, indicated that Ambassador Kemayah’s support for the development of the community and its residents dates back as far as more than 20 years, even before his days as President of the Liberia Business Association (LIBA). The leaders, including the Chairman, Women Chair, and Youth Chair of Community, who are all members of the Kemayah Associates, then stated in clear terms that the group, which has been in existence before the ascendancy of Ambassador Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah as Foreign Affairs Minister, has decided to get involved in the campaign for President Weah’s re-election due to the political direction of its vision bearer.
The well-attended program witnessed the presence of Liberia’s one of soccer stars and legends, James Salinsa Debbah, who reiterated his support for the re-election of President George Manneh Weah.
Meanwhile, in consultation with MOVEE’s Political Leader, the Kemayah Associates of Paynesville Town Hall Community also endorsed Mr. Eric Vaye and Sen. Saah Joseph, CDC’s Representative Candidate for Electoral District #5 and Senatorial Candidate of Montserrado County, respectively.
The Kemayah Associates of Town Hall Community said it will do a door to door campaign to ensure President Weah is overwhelmingly reelected on the first ballot.
