GBARNGA – Announcing his support for President Weah Dr. Flomo intimated that he was not cohered by anyone, neither does he expect anything in return for his endorsement.

He said, “I was never cohered by anyone to support President Weah. I know, all of us know what this man has done for this country.”
The son of Bong who has extensive support from farmers and intellectual class of the county, due to his strong agriculture ties, has promised to canvas for the re-election of President George Weah.
Dr. Flomo continued, “For me, this is my sacred duty to my people and county. The re-election of President Weah will mean, we will have more farm to market roads constructed, a new 150 megawatts Hydro Power plant and a super high school constructed for our people.”
Speaking at a press conference at the headquarters of CDC-Bong Chapter, Dr. Flomo stated that his decision to support President Weah’s re-election was a result of careful consideration, extensive consultations and a realization of shared policy objectives.
He said over the past five years, President Dr. George Weah has demonstrated competence and passion in developing Liberia, stabilizing the economy, and fostering peace and stability.
He pointed out that the Liberian Head of State is an innovative leader who cares about the ordinary people as such, it is important that he be given a second term mandate comes October 10 of this year.
Dr. Mogana Flomo, Jr. who served as Agriculture Minister for one year was dismissed by President Weah June of 2019.
According an Executive Mansion release then, Dr. Flomo was dismissed due to his failure to promote the CDC- led government’s pro- poor agenda.
But responding, the former Agriculture Minister attributed his dismissal to pressure from some leaders of Bong County, most especial Representative J. Marvin Cole of District three.
During the endorsement ceremony, Dr. Flomo stated that President Weah also dismissed him by listening to lies from people surrounding the Presidency.
Dr. Flomo also encoraged all of his followers to join him in making sure that President Weah is elected for additional six years.
Accepting the endorsement statement on behalf of the Coalition for Democratic Change, Peter Bemah, an official of Bong For Weah thanked Dr. Flomo for the bold step taken.
