Monrovia – The All Liberian Party (ALP) of Liberia’s businessman Benoni Urey seems not to be taking lightly assertion made by Nimba County Senator Prince Johnson.
Report by Edwin G. Genoway, Jr – [email protected]
The Party has described the assertion by Senator Johnson as blatant lies from hell, saying its leader Urey has no idea on what the Nimba County Senator is saying.
Senator Prince Y. Johnson recently linked FrontPageAfrica’s recent report that there are Federal Agents in the country gathering evidence that might lead to his arrest for allegedly killing an American woman during the civil war, to intimidation tactics allegedly plotted by Washington in cohorts with Dr. Allan White and Benoni Urey.
Johnson said this was a ploy to have him support Urey in the upcoming elections.
Senator Johnson told FPA in an interview via mobile, that Benoni Urey invited him and his delegation to Ghana for coalition talks, something the Nimba County senator described as a failed attempt on his life.
“All of what going on is the doing of Benoni Urey to see me down.”
“He invited us to Ghana for a coalition talks and when got to Ghana the driver who came did not take us to the West View Hotel as it was on our booking, instead, the driver took us to a strange place on the out sketch of Ghana to a substandard guest house where there were lots street men (zogos).”
“I raised alarm by calling H. Boima Fahnbulleh and I also called Urey’s middle Alexander Wahpole and threatened him that I was going to tell the media, and he got scared and started begging me before the driver could come back and took us to the airport Hotel.”
“I see that as failed attempt on my life,” he explained.
Senator Johnson’s testimony against the ALP political leader is not being taken lightly by the party. The party has described the senator assertion as blatant lies.
The Youth league Chairman of the ALP, Ike M.J Moore said his political leader will do no such thing as claimed by Senator Johnson.
He hoped that the Nimba County Senator would rethink and stop spreading lies about Urey, saying, it is the goal and wish of Urey for a one and united Liberia, free of violence.
“The Senator says he’s a man of God and he’s spreading lies around in this manner. I think he should start praying to God now for forgiveness,” he told FPA via mobile.
Ike said he does not know where Senator Johnson is coming from with such allegations that the ALP’s political leader wants to kill him (Senator Johnson).
“I pray that God will touch his heart so he can see who is really after him, but it is not our political leader. “
“Our political leader is a man of peace so let Senator Johnson stop going around fabricating lies against honorable Urey, if the senator wishes to support anyone of his choice let him go ahead and stop the fabrication of lies,” he noted.
He said the ALP is a responsible political party that will not waste its time on trivial assertions coming from the Nimba County Senator.
“The ALP is a mature and responsible party that will not waste its time on such trivial assertion from Senator Johnson.”
“The Liberian people and the ALP are concentrating on how our political leader can be the next president of Liberia, so we are not going to court as many think we are going to do, we see this as distraction,” he noted.
He noted that negotiation were still ongoing for coalition with LINU, MDR and ALP when Senator Johnson came from Nigeria with the allegations against Urey.
The ALP Youth Chairman noted that the entire world knows that Urey is a farmer and businessman who wants to transform Liberia to be self-sufficient.
