MONROVIA – His Excellency Kingsford Amoako, Ghana’s Ambassador to the Republic of Liberia, paid a courtesy call on the National Elections Commission on 15th November, 2023, where he and his team was received by the NEC boss, Madam Davidetta Lansanah Brown.

H.E. Amoako expressed the support of the Government of Ghana to the people of Liberia in ensuring that the electoral process continues to remain peaceful and transparent as the NEC continues to announce the final results of the run-off. According to Ambassador Amoako, Liberia has huge potential which can only be realized when the country is peaceful and stable, which will lead to foreign direct investment in Liberia.

He informed Madam Lansanah Brown that the Embassy of Ghana observed the run-off in Grand Bassa, Montserrado and the nearby areas of Rivercess county. During the first round, the Embassy’s Observer Mission worked in Margibi and Montserrado and observed that the process was free and fair.

The NEC boss assured Ambassador Amoako that in spite of some challenges with network connectivity and staff, the NEC was on top of the issues and will deliver accurate results for the people of Liberia.

After the discussions, Ambassador Amoako and his team toured the data center of the NEC and interacted with NEC staff and other international observers.
