Tuider made this announcement over the weekend after fulfilling the candidate nomination requirement at the SKD sports complex in Paynesville on July 14, 2023. The nomination is a legal obligation mandated by the laws governing electoral activities.
During a press conference at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex, Tuider emphasized the pressing need for a robust justice system that ensures the freedom of citizens and investors, enabling them to make positive contributions to the welfare of the people.
As part of his campaign, Tuider promised to address corruption and the misappropriation of public funds. He firmly stated, “Under my leadership, there will be zero tolerance for embezzlement and abuse of power. I am committed to upholding justice in every sector of Liberia. I did not come to steal from the Liberian people, and I will not allow anyone else to do so.”
When questioned about his strategy to tackle unemployment in Liberia, Tuider outlined his government’s plan to create 100,000 jobs through agricultural investments. These opportunities will be generated for both rural and urban communities, encompassing production, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution.
Additionally, Tuider highlighted the DNA government’s intention to invest in technology and promote e-commerce innovation among young people. Through business incubation and acceleration, they aim to empower the youth to leverage their skills, foster entrepreneurship, and generate wealth.
“Our objective is to create an environment where every Liberian has access to employment and business opportunities. As we embark on the campaign period, commencing on August 6, 2023, we will reach out to every corner of Liberia, emphasizing the government’s responsibility to protect its citizens and provide them with better livelihoods,” Tuider expressed.
He further underscored the DNA’s commitment to investing in strong internet connectivity, facilitating an innovation-driven economy that enables young people to enhance their skills and create wealth. Tuider pledged to prioritize public education and healthcare, ensuring that the ordinary citizens have access to quality schools and hospitals.
Expressing gratitude to his supporters and the Liberian people, Tuider acknowledged the opportunity to be registered as a candidate for the upcoming General and Presidential Elections in October. He assured the nation that his government would transform Liberia through the pillars of justice and agricultural development.
“Our vision is to lead our people into a modern Liberia built on the foundations of justice and job opportunities arising from agricultural industrialization,” Tuider concluded.
