Madam Moye was controversially certificated Friday following an on-boarding training, despite not being named by President Joseph Boakai two days ago.
Madam Moye’s appointment has sparked a debate in Bong County, considering how the senator is preferring his close allies to lucrative positions in the Boakai administration.
Two weeks ago, Moye reportedly influenced the appointment of Bill McGill Jones as deputy minister for administration of the Ministry of Finance, despite his lack of involvement in the campaign of Boakai.
Considering how prominent personalities in Bong County played an integral role in the campaign of the Boakai – Jeremiah Koung ticket, some have expressed disappoinment in Moye for favoring his allies in the government.
The likes of former Bong County senator Franklin Siakor, Dr. Alfredson Taikerweah, Dr. Ranney Banama Jackson, former Bong County senator Selena Polson Mappy, who’s also the Women’s Wing Chair of Unity Party, are still not being named in Boakai’s administration despite campaigning for the Unity Party.
