According to one aggrieved individual, passengers who arrived in Monrovia via Royal Air Morac on December 24th and 27th are still awaiting their luggage.
The aggrieved claim that this delay is causing significant inconvenience and financial strain, prompting them to initiate legal proceedings against the airline.
“We will proceed with our lawsuit against Royal Air Morac since their actions have resulted in excessive expenditure and humiliation. I can’t keep wearing the same jeans and T-shirt repeatedly while spending a lot of money. Anyone whose bags are missing should not hesitate; this is not a complicated case,” stated one of the affected passengers.
“Lawyers should come forward for their cases since there are enough clients who want to file claims against Royal Air Morac.”
The aggrieved passengers revealed that despite their continuous outcry, Royal Air Morac only brought other luggage via a private cargo plane chartered from Morocco. Unfortunately, none of their bags were among those delivered.
“Because we started going to the media, they remembered to bring other luggage. Today, they didn’t bring the police; they brought some bags. However, our bags are not among them,” expressed one of the aggrieved passengers.
Those who have not received their luggage from the airline are urged to visit the Royal Air Morac office to check if theirs has arrived.
The aggrieved passengers expressed concern about the government’s silence on the matter. They argued that if people are facing such issues, the government should address them, as there are business people and tourists entering the country who might encounter similar problems.
To deter similar actions in the future, the aggrieved passengers emphasized the need to file a claim against Royal Air Morac. They also revealed that family members who arrived with Airthat’s luggage have not received their bags and were uninformed to check with Air Morac.
The aggrieved passengers highlighted that their concerns prompted the airline to bring in additional luggage, but theirs could not be found. They pledged to continue engaging with the airline until the matter is appropriately resolved.
The frustrated passengers called on the government not to let Royal Air Morac escape accountability, emphasizing that such actions should not be tolerated, especially towards other nationals.
They concluded by protesting against people choosing air travel when coming to Liberia, warning that it might lead to the risk of luggage going missing.
