Monrovia — The National Insurance Company of Liberia ( NICOL), has donated over 50 bags of rice 25kg to mosques across Montserrado county as Muslims anticipate the climax of the holy month of Ramadan.

The 50 bags of 25kg rice which that worth over one thousand United States Dollar (1000USD) were distributed to the Office of the Chief Iman of Liberia, Ali Krayee, the Benson Street Mosque and Al- Ansari Central Mosque in New Georgia.
Accordingly, the three mosques will benefit 15 bags of 25kg rice each.
The items were distributed to facilitate the climax of the month of Ramadan which is expected to be concluded on Wednesday, April 11.
Making the presentation, Deputy Managing Director of NICOL, Abdullah Swaray noted that the distribution of the food items it is incumbent upon the institution as state-owned to identify as part social-corporate responsibility.
He called on Muslims who are observing the holy month of Ramadan to offer pray for the nation especially the government and NICOL for God’s favor to enable them function accordingly.
Said Swaray, ”We believe that NICOAL as a state owned institution is under full responsibility to ensure that, not just profiteering but also ensure that the well-being of citizens is also cater to.”
He added, “We called on all Muslims to continue to keep the peace and pray for Liberia as we envision a new Liberia under President Joseph Boakai to ensure that Liberia gets to a greater height because we believe that when we seek the favor of GOD all other things follow.”
Receiving the items, Chief Iman Krayee lauded the institution for recognizing and identifying with the Muslim community as they approach the climax the Ramadan.
He called on Allah to strength the leadership of NICOL and bless the team as the strive for positive direction and excellent.
According to him, Muslims are also offering prayers for the government, individuals and the general citizenry of the nation for spiritual cleansing.
“We only pray that all of the efforts we made during the month of Ramadan, the worship, the prayers offered to Allah will be accepted,” he said.
He emphasized “Bless us individually and collectively that this blessing will also benefit the President, the government and all of the people of Liberia and the NICOL family.”
