MONROVIA – The Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA) will host a training workshop on International Telecommunications Union’s (ITU) Spectrum Management System for Developing Countries (SMS4DC), co-organized by the ITU between September 16th to 20th, 2019.

This SMS4DC workshop is expected to bring together about 100 participants from the English-speaking Member Countries within the African Region. The objective of this training workshop is to build the human capacity and skills of participants who would effectively use the SMS4DC tool for efficient spectrum management in their respective countries and is targeted towards the Spectrum Managers and the users of SMS4DC tool (both current and prospective).

The LTA Board of Commissioners expressed its gratitude to the ITU for this historic moment in Liberia’s Telecommunications sector as the LTA hosts the first ITU-organized spectrum workshop which will pave the way for more ITU sponsored training programs in Liberia to build  human capacity in regulating the Telecommunications sector.
