Joe David, married and committed to his calling, has an impressive background, including two years of service as a full-time missionary for the Church in Ghana and Nigeria. Currently a senior student at the University of Liberia, he is pursuing a degree in Economics and Management. Additionally, he is a prospective graduate from the esteemed Stella Maris Polytechnic University, where he is studying Accounting.
Standing out among his peers, Joe David was selected to participate in an intensive Diplomatic training program in Beijing, China. This opportunity broadened his horizons and equipped him with the skills necessary to navigate international diplomacy successfully.
Joe David’s educational achievements include a Diploma in Banking and Finance from the esteemed Banking Institute of Liberia. His diverse academic background and practical experience have prepared him well for his current role as a spiritual leader in the Church.
On March 26, 2023, Joe David was called to the esteemed position of Bishop, and the first presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, confirmed his appointment. Under normal circumstances, a Bishop in the Latter-day Saints Church serves for a term of 2 to 5 years, depending on various factors.
As the youngest Bishop in Africa within the Church, Joe David bears the weight of responsibility with humility and a strong commitment to serving his congregation and community.
