Liberia National Police Gang Rape of 12th Grade Upon Completion of WASSCE Exams
Margibi County – Seven persons are currently undergoing investigation at the headquarters of the Liberia National Police over the mysterious death of a senior student of the Harriette E. Bailey United Methodist Memorial High School.
The police consider the seven individuals as persons of interests.
Mercy (not real name) died from severe bleeding, according to police sources.
FPA has gathered Information revealing that student Mercy met her untimely demise upon arrival at the hospital (ELWA Hospital) due to the severe bleeding.
The incident occurred in the Dowazon Community after she and her schoolmates had gone on camp in the compound of Rev. Emmanuel Giddings for the West African Secondary School Examination (WASSCE).
According to sources, Mercy (Not her real name) was said to be either 19 or 20 years of age. The cause of her death is yet to be established by the police.
But in response to the incident, the LNP took to its Facebook page writing: “The Liberia National Police has launched an immediate investigation into an alleged homicide incident that occurred in the Dwazon Community, Margibi County. Police preliminary probe established that on May 21, 2019, at about 12:35 AM, a girl was discovered bleeding profusely in a compound belonging to Rev. Emmanuel Giddings.”
It continues: “The victim was later rushed to the ELWA Hospital where she was pronounced dead by doctors. Meanwhile, the LNP is presently talking with seven persons of interests.”
