MONROVIA – The Weah-Taylor 2023 National Victory Campaign, spearheaded by Campaign Manager Eugene Lenn Nagbe, has expressed its deep appreciation for the overwhelming support received during the formal launch of its 1-Round National Victory campaign on September 7, 2023.
Mr. Lenn Nagbe expressed gratitude to the multitude of partisans, first-time voters, auxiliaries, supporters, and well-wishers who turned out in large numbers to express their unwavering support for the Weah-Taylor 2023 National Victory Campaign. “This outpouring of support highlighted the significant impact of President H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah’s developmental initiatives during his tenure.”
However, in response to the upcoming launch of the Unity Party’s national campaign, the Weah-Taylor 2023 National Victory Campaign has taken proactive steps to ensure a peaceful political atmosphere. On September 17, 2023, all public campaigning activities planned for Montserrado County will be suspended. This decision aims to prevent potential conflicts and align with the regulations established by the National Elections Commission (NEC).
Furthermore, an unauthorized concert initially scheduled for September 17, 2023, has been canceled by the campaign. The concert will be rescheduled in accordance with the campaign’s approved calendar of activities, as sanctioned by the NEC.
The Weah-Taylor 2023 National Victory Campaign, a part of the Coalition for Democratic Change, has also urged its partisans, auxiliaries, supporters, and well-wishers to refrain from organizing public political gatherings or activities within Montserrado County on September 17, 2023.
These measures are being implemented with the primary goal of fostering political harmony, ensuring a tranquil election season, and upholding the Farmington Declaration, the National Elections Law, and the laws of the Republic of Liberia.
The Weah-Taylor 2023 National Victory Campaign remains committed to conducting a peaceful and law-abiding campaign as Liberia prepares for the 2023 elections. It strongly emphasizes the importance of a peaceful electoral process and calls on all stakeholders to contribute to a free and fair election in Liberia.
