MONROVIA — Lawrence Nuquay, the son of Senator Emmanuel Nuquay, is currently in police custody at the Kakata police station following reports from EU Election Observers accusing him of engaging in election malpractices.
According to the allegations, Lawrence, a former District #3 Representative aspirant, was apprehended for purportedly distributing money to voters with the aim of influencing them to vote for Honorable Dorothy Barcolleh, a Representative Candidate for District #3 in Margibi County. This act is considered a form of campaigning and is in violation of election laws.
