MONROVIA — The final argument in the late Charlotte Musu’s alleged murder trial has commenced at Criminal Court “A” in the Temple of Justice, marking the culmination of a five-month legal battle since July 2023.
This trial will determine the fate of Cllr. Glorious Musu Scott and four others accused of committing the murder.
Jurors, who recently visited the crime scene to aid in their final judgment, are poised to decide whether the state has presented sufficient evidence to either convince or fail to convince them of Cllr. Scott and others’ association with the crime of murder. Both the prosecution and defense are preparing for their final arguments.
The final argument has drawn the presence of key government officials, many of whom are associates of the Unity Party and officials of Maryland County. Attendees include Abraham Darius Dillon of Montserrado County, Maryland County Senator J. Gbleh-bo Browne, and Unity Party official Mo Ali.
Former Chief Justice Francis Korkpor is also in attendance, along with a host of international and local observers.
Further details will follow after the jurors’ ruling.
