GBARNGA — President George Weah has said he would pick his Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor as his successor if he were to win his second term.
President Weah said in Palala: “Jewel has been an indispensable asset of my government who has beyond doubts that she can lead Liberia. When my second term finishes, I will have no headache because Jewel is already on the team.”
President Weah’s successor plan for Howard-Taylor may come as a surprise to many in the party, considering the in-fight within the Coalition of Democratic Change.
FrontPageAfrica had reported that an in-fight within the CDC has increased, particularly against the vice president, after President Weah and the Howard-Taylor announced their support for different legislative candidates in Bong County.
