GBARNGA – The standard bearer of the All Liberia Coalition Party (ALCOP), Lusine Kamara, has urged Liberians to remain peaceful, regardless of any provocation or incitement to violence in Tuesday’s polls.
It can be recalled, that supporters of ALCOP and the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) were involved in a clash on the final day of the campaign that led to the loss of lives.
But following the casting of his vote in Gbarnga Tuesday, Kamara urged: “Do not allow the desires of the candidates to ascend to positions of power destroy your life or the lives of your family and neighbours. Your life is very important to Allah, and should not be destroyed on account of elections that come and go.
“Remember that you will continue to live in your neighborhood after the elections, so do not destroy your home ground. Remain peaceful regardless of the incitement or excitement that comes with elections.
In a message to candidates standing in the election, Kamara said: “Do not let your ambitions destroy this country.”
