Marshall City, Margibi County –The former President of the Liberia Chambers of Architects (LCA), has alarmed over the illegal sale of his property in Marshall City, Margibi County.
According to Mr. F. Augustus Caesar, Jr, a mini portion of over 220 acres of land owned by his family has been under attacked by those he called “notorious land dealers” of Kpain and Ben towns in Marshall.
He said this portion of his property has been severely damaged, along with a coconut plantation.
Mr. Caesar, who is the President of Caesar Architects Incorporated, is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the historic Caesar Beach Resort in Marshall.
He pointed out that while planning to rebuild the historic Caesar Beach Resort in the area, some unscrupulous land dealers of the Kpain and Ben towns (whom he did not name) sold a portion of his property to a combination of parties.
He named some of those involved into the “illegal purchase and destruction” of his land as one Mrs. Ida Martin, Mitchelle Kennedy, Boye Smith, Vision, D8, one Dr. Charles and some former soldiers of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL).
Mrs. Martin, who is presently residing in Liberia, sometimes ago returned from Atlanta, United States of America.
Mr. Caesar estimated that the total amount of damages that has been caused on his property amounts to over US$1,300,000.
Speaking further, the renowned Liberian Architect noted that “fake instruments” are allegedly being used by “notorious land dealers” backed by some local authorities in Kpain and Ben towns, to take over his property.
He, however, called on the relevant authorities to intervene in the matter to avoid land dispute in Marshall City.
Mr. Caesar said for too long he has rendered assistance and job opportunities for some locals of Kpain and Ben towns, but is wondering while his property is constantly under threat by some “notorious land dealers” in the areas.
