Orange Launches Easter Bonanza – Several Walk Away With Prizes
Monrovia – In furtherance of a recent statement by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Mamadou Coulibaly to put a smartphone in the hand of every Liberian, Orange Liberia has launched a massive device fair at its Sinkor store on 13th Street in Monrovia.
Officially launching the fair, which is being called the Orange Easter Devices Bonanza, the Chief Sales Officer of Orange Mr. Isaac Muthama elaborated that the fair would be opened until April 26th.
He said that the fair was offering hundreds of devices at discounted prices from a wide range of brands and prices starting as low as $10 for 2G phones and $25 for smartphones, which made it the biggest devices fair Liberia.
“We have a great 4G LTE network, which is now in ten cities outside of Monrovia, so we are rolling out these devices at lowered prices so that more Liberians can enjoy the benefits of Internet on this high speed network,” said Muthama.
The device fair is being held at the Orange store in Sinkor, Monrovia to ensure fast service for customers wanting to purchase devices.
Mr. Mathama elaborated that while large numbers of customers were coming in everyday to purchase smartphones, the company had multiple sales people to ensure that customers could get in and out with very little wait or delay.
“We have set up the process in a way that customers won’t have to queue for service and so anybody can come in, and purchase a device in less than five minutes,” said Mr. Muthama.
In addition to announcing the Easter Bonanza, Mr. Muthama, Mr. Aaron Glay, and Mrs. Betty Flahn also presented prizes to this week’s winners of the company’s ongoing “This Is My Time” or “Da Ma Tan” promotion.
This campaign from Orange continues to gain momentum with thousands of Liberians participating and close to 100 valuable prizes being given away since the promotion started a little over a month ago. Amongst the 15 winners awarded this, week, Archie Johnson walked away with a motorbike while Sonny Kollubah from Lofa County received the keys of a brand new kehkeh from the hands of Mr. Muthama. Fully energized after receiving his prize, Mr. Kollubah praised Orange and explained how much he believed since the beginning of the campaign that he would be a winner one day.
He further stressed on the fact that winners come from everywhere in the Liberia, as he was a living example coming from Lofa county.
The Da Ma Tan promotion is an SMS quizzing competition which has attracted thousands of Orange subscribers to participate due to the lucrative and frequent nature of the prizes.
Corporate Communications Strategist Dr. Kimmie Wees highlighted that the questions in the quiz were simple and that Orange was giving away a “mountain of prizes” to several hundred lucky winners.
He encouraged subscribers who have not yet joined the competition to start by sending a text with their name to 344 and also encouraged those currently participating to continue to answer more questions to increase their chances to win.
“We still have two more cars and at least 200 more prizes to give away until the end of May,” Weeks said. The Da Ma Tan promotion will continue until May 2018.
