Monrovia – A new internet service provider, K3 Telecom, has assured Liberians of cutting edge ultra-fast broadband internet service that would enable them to access Netflix and internet TV and unlimited upload and download access without interruptions.

K3 Telecom is a Swiss-based company with its subsidiary registered in Liberia that implements fix telecommunication network- not mobile or GSM.
K3 Air Lastmile, is a patented wireless technology that has the capacity to deliver through the air to each end user high-speed broadband Internet, Digital TV, and IP Telephony.
Opening its first offices in Monrovia over weekend, Mr. Ernest K. Boakai, CEO of K3 Telecom said the company would be the only service provider that will be proving fix network internet service with unlimited data for a monthly subscription.
“It’s unlimited speed, you can watch as much as you can, upload as much as you can and download as much as you can. We’ll give you a television from 70 to 100 channels easily.”
“These are similar television channels that you watch on all other networks here in Liberia, there’s nothing different. The only difference we bring to the table is you’ll have the possibility of also watching Netflix,” Boakai said.
According to the CEO, the package would include the internet service, fix telephone line that can call within the network without any extra charge and television channels for a monthly subscription at US$80.00.
Boakai: “From one point, our technology can transmit to 50 km radius and connect up to 15,000 end users with a superior speed up to 300Mbps with more than 70 Classic and High definition TV programs as well IP Telephony.
“With our technology the end users can get supersonic internet speed, Digital TV, IP telephony, Free WiFi home connectivity, Apple TV and Netflix possibility, Best international call rates, not mobile, not satellite, fixed and stable.
“We think that this service we’re bringing to Liberia is human right. Like you need to have a house, light and water, you need the internet.”
“That will reduce the illiteracy rate, the students will build their own capacity to research, the doctors will have the opportunities of connecting with other hospitals so they can carry on operations in real time. “
“And we think as a company we’ll be able to employ and give opportunities to people who want to be entrepreneurs to grow and start their own businesses in marketing, sales and installation,” he said.
The company is now in its testing phase and will begin connecting customers in a matter of weeks, Boakai disclosed.
He further disclosed that K3 Telecom is designing a package for university campuses and health centers where services would be offered at minimum cost.
This, according to him, there will be hotspots at various campuses where students can buy their subscription at affordable prices at connect to the internet whenever they are within their campus area or area.
