Monrovia – The Union of Diamond, and Gold Brokers in Liberia have released a statement in Monrovia, centered around the mineral sector under the administration of Minister Wilmot Paye. Swansey Fallah, has accused the Ministry of Health (MOH) of procurement irregularities and favoritism, alleging that contracts were awarded without due process. Monrovia – The Liberia Electricity Regulatory Commission (LERC) has suspended the unauthorized “expedited connection service fee” of $150.00 charged by the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC). LERC confirmed that this fee was not authorized and violates the Commission’s regulations. In a statement, LERC ordered LEC to immediately halt the collection of this unauthorized fee from customers requesting expedited connections.
