MONROVIA – President George M. Weah will this Wednesday, August 24, lead an array of Government officials and other national leaders at programs commemorating the 175th anniversary of the Liberian Flag.
Monrovia – Entrepreneurship is the lifeblood of most Liberians, many of them operating one business or another. It is commonplace to find children helping their parents in various businesses when they finish their daily school shift. (Most schools run on two shifts, a morning shift, and an afternoon shift in order to allow more children to attend school.) By 15 years of age, many children are engaged in income generating activities to augment family incomes.

MONROVIA – The Union of Liberian Associations in the Americas, (ULAA) has called on President George Manneh Weah to immediately dismiss his suspended Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Mr. Nathaniel Fahnlon McGill; suspended Managing Director, National Port Authority (NPA), Mr. Bill Twehway; and suspended Solicitor General, Cllr. Sayma Syrenius Cephus, following them being placed on sanctions by the United States Government.
MONROVIA – U.S. Ambassador to Liberia Michael McCarthy joined Liberian education officials and stakeholders to celebrate the closure of a five-year early grade reading program that significantly increased the skills of primary school students in six of Liberia’s 15 counties.

Monrovia – UNDP Liberia Resident Representative and the Office of the Mayor of the Monrovia City Corporation (MCC) in collaboration with the United Nations Volunteer (UNV) in Liberia on 13 August launched a Cash for Work clean-up exercise covering 11 communities in Monrovia and its surroundings to help tackle the issue of poor waste management, while providing short-term income to support livelihood for vulnerable populations and marginalized communities targeting 400 youth, including Women.
