We are not opposed to the changes we are expected to make. Monrovia – The Varney Taylor Foundation (VTF) has donated several bags of rice to the maternity center and health workers of Redemption Hospital on the Bushrod Island. Tappita, Nimba County – Nimba was one of the counties affected by the Ebola outbreak in 2014. The Jackson F. Doe Memorial Hospital, a state-of-the-art tertiary institution in Tappita, Nimba County had one of the biggest Ebola treatment facilities in the country; thus, preparing the hospital and the Nimba County Health Team to effectively respond to the outbreak. MINNEAPOLIS — A member of the Liberian security forces under the regime of Liberian President Charles Taylor was removed Tuesday by officers with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). In August 2014, the Task Force launched its outreach and sensitization campaign in Monrovia. This was followed by distribution of essential supplies and sensitization campaigns in various counties, in close partnership with community-based organizations, community radio stations, community leaders, etc. Roles Played by CSOs Civil Society Organizations were actively involved with the fight against Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in Liberia in 2014. There was strong partnership with government, which allowed them to meaningfully contribute, individually and collectively. A Civil Society Ebola Task Force was established and undertook key activities that meaningfully contributed to Liberia’s successful fight against Ebola.
