The LFA Women’s Super Cup winners presented essential items including rice, mattresses, cooking oil, toothpaste, and sugar as part of their commitment to corporate social responsibility.
Bettomax Liberia, a betting company, has collaborated with Shaita Angels and Watanga FC to identify and support vulnerable communities, including hospitals across the country. The two organizations have committed to providing $1,000 worth of materials each month to various charities, aiming to make a positive impact in their community.
The items were delivered to Love the Child Orphanage, located in the R2 community along the Roberts International Airport highway, in an effort to alleviate difficulties faced by the privately-run facility.
In addition to advocating for women’s football, Raji also addressed the issue of unresolved payments from WAFU A that have impacted Liberia since 2018.
“We are very happy to be here at Love the Child, and we are here to show love to our children. It takes a lot to care for children, and we must appreciate you for the job you continue to do for them,” Braima expressed.
He emphasized the importance of providing a comfortable sleeping environment for the children, remarking, “It’s going to make such a difference for these kids to sleep on a good mattress and receive proper nourishment.”
For his part, Ricky Teah, Vice President of Shaita Angels, commended the owner of Love the Child Orphanage, Rebecca Wreh, for her dedication to supporting parentless children.
“Our partnership with Bettomax extends beyond the football pitch; it’s about reaching out to those in need,” he said. “We chose this orphanage because we understand the challenges of caring for these children, who are the future leaders of our community.”
Receiving the items, Rebecca Wreh expressed gratitude for the timely support, noting the orphanage’s struggles following a devastating fire in 2020.

She disclosed that after rebuilding efforts, the facility was reopened in July 2024, but acquiring adequate mattresses for the children has been a significant challenge.
“We are so happy to have you here today because you have come to put smiles on our faces,” she said.
“As the Bible teaches, we must care for orphans and those who are vulnerable. As long as we stay committed to this mission, the sky is the limit,” Wreh added.
She thanked both Bettomax and Shaita Angels FC for their generous assistance, promising it would be used for its intended purpose. The presentation was attended by players of Shaita Angels FC and officials of Bettomax, who were moved by the stories of the children.
