At the official signing and cash presentation event, Doxxbet CEO Michal Gabor explained that the sponsorship was part of the company’s efforts to help strengthen football in Liberia. The deal will run until the end of the season, with an option for extension.
The sponsorship will benefit four clubs from the first division, two from the second division, and one women’s club. The teams receiving support are Mighty Barrolle, Invincible Eleven, Global Pharma, and Freeport FC from the first division, Cece United and PAGs FC from the second division, and Bushrod Queens, the only female team.
First division clubs will each receive $1,200, while second division and women’s teams will receive $800 each.
Gabor expressed his company’s happiness in supporting the clubs, noting that the decision followed a request from LFA President Mustapha Raji, who sought assistance for struggling teams. He emphasized that the sponsorship aims to ease the financial burdens these clubs face.
“This small sponsorship deal will help the clubs sustain their operations and expenses for the rest of the season,” said Gabor. “The agreement will be reviewed based on the performance of the clubs and their position at the end of the season.”
The clubs will also be expected to promote Doxxbet on their jerseys and across social media platforms and home games, with an emphasis on branding the company.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, Sylvanus Morris, president of the Clubs Presidents Association of Liberia, expressed gratitude to Doxxbet for stepping in at a crucial time. He emphasized that the sponsorship is essential for clubs to finish the league amidst financial challenges.
“We hope all the clubs will live up to their part of the agreement,” Morris, also president of Global Pharma FC, said. “This sponsorship is crucial for us, and we hope it continues into the next season.”
LFA Executive Committee member Ivan Brown, who spoke on behalf of the Football Association, thanked Doxxbet for their continued support of Liberian football. He acknowledged the financial struggles faced by the FA and its clubs, and praised Doxxbet for helping ease this burden.
Brown also urged the benefiting clubs to honor their commitments, encouraging other teams that did not receive sponsorship this time to see it as an opportunity to perform better for future consideration.
In addition to the sponsorship for the seven clubs, Doxxbet has been the official sponsor of the LFA awards for the past four years and continues to support Shaita FC, a first division club. This new deal expands Doxxbet’s involvement in Liberian football to eight clubs.
