
Monrovia – A new chapter for the Liberia National Olympic Committee (LNOC) began on February 14, with the election of a fresh slate of officers during the organization’s General Assembly held in Marshall City.

The leadership change marks the end of President Emeritus Philipbert Brown’s lengthy tenure and ushers in a new era for sports administration in Liberia.
The assembly, attended by representatives from various federations and member associations, saw the election of the following officers for the next four years:
- Cllr. Sylvester Rennie – President
- Malcolm Joseph – Vice President for Administration
- Ahmed Tukpah – Vice President for Technical Affairs
- Madam D. Sheba Browne – Vice President for Women’s Affairs
- Boi Corvah – Treasurer
Immediately following the election, the new officers were sworn in by Cllr. J. Cole Bangalu, Liberia’s Minister of Youth and Sports.
This leadership transition is seen as a crucial moment for the LNOC, with expectations that the new administration will build on the achievements of its predecessor while introducing fresh strategies to drive sports development in Liberia.
