The Gambian Coach secured an unprecedented double during his prolific debut campaign in charge of the Shipping Boys, while going in the entire league season unbeaten.
Coach Manneh’s second season saw the club 26-game unbeaten run ended with a 2-0 defeat against LPRC Oilers and went throughout the campaign without a trophy but managed to qualify for the Caf Confederation Cup where they were eliminating by Algerian club USM Bel Abbes in the preliminary round.
But the LISCR FC’s Coach believes the nightmare of last season is behind as they gear to restore domestic dominance, with the league title being a realistic target.
Manneh, however, said that he is a coach whose philosophy is to present something to management at the end of a league campaign.
“LISCR FC is always prepared for the league. We are big team and everybody expects to win the league. That’s the mentality we have. We are preparing to go for the league whether we win it or not but our target is to win it,” Manneh stated.
“For me that mentality that I have as a coach, I should not go to a competition at the end of the day I cannot present something to management.
That is not my philosophy. I always want to present something at the end of the competition to management,” he boasted.
Despite making three summer singings, the LISCR FC’s Coach says his side is still in the market for new players to improve his squad. “The door is opened. We are looking for a playmaker, maybe defenders to strengthen our defense because in defense players were released but we working with certain players, when the deal is finalized we will announce,” Coach Manneh stated.
