The day’s games will kick off with CWA facing L. J. Barnes, followed by World Wide Mission taking on Sadia, and J. J. Ross concluding the day against SOS.
In last week’s action, William V. S. Tubman High defeated Monrovia College 22-16 in the opening game. L. J. Barnes was narrowly beaten 39-31 by SOS, and Fountain of Life fell 34-27 to Caldwell AG in the final game of the day.
Monrovia College’s head coach, Andrew A. Kallon, attributed his team’s loss to poor ball control and basket marking against Tubman High. He emphasized the need for major changes among his players ahead of their next game against AGM Caldwell.
“Our defeat was caused by my players failing to execute the strategic ball control and basket making techniques they learned during training,” Coach Kallon said. “I am going to implement major changes and work with athletes who are ready to deliver results. I’ve made it clear that each game will determine who plays in the next.”
On the other side, Tubman High’s head coach, Michael Sawagba, praised his team’s win over Monrovia College as an important recovery from their previous loss. However, he urged his players to stay focused and continue intensifying their training for the upcoming matches.
“To my players, I want them to stay vigilant and learn from their past mistakes,” Coach Sawagba said. “This will help them perform as expected in the remaining games of the league.”
