
Monrovia – FC Fassell strengthened their grip on top spot in the Liberian First Division League with a commanding 7-1 victory over struggling Freeport FC at Tusa Field.

The win lifted Fassell’s tally to 41 points, extending their lead to six points over second-placed Heaven Eleven.
The “Soccer Missionaries” wasted no time in asserting their dominance, taking a 2-0 lead within the first 20 minutes. Freeport FC managed to pull a goal back through Sammie Siryee, but Fassell went into halftime leading 2-1.
In the second half, Fassell proved unstoppable, netting five additional goals to seal the comprehensive win.
The result solidified FC Fassell’s position at the top of the table, while Freeport FC struggled to mount a challenge. Heaven Eleven, following a 3-1 win over Blackman Warriors, moved into second place, and Discoveries FC’s 2-1 defeat to Global Pharma FC saw them drop to third.
In other results, Bea Mountain fought back from 2-0 down to draw 3-3 with Invincible Eleven, while Mighty Barrolle and Watanga FC played to a 2-2 draw. LPRC Oilers also shared the spoils with Paynesville FC in a 1-1 draw. On Friday, LISCR FC demolished Shaita FC 6-1, with Mark Karley scoring a hat-trick.
