    Liberia: Diggs Chairs reconstituted mobilization committee for national team

    Commerce and Industry Minister Mawine G. Diggs has been appointed as chairperson of a mobilization committee for the national team.

    Diggs’ preferment was contained in a letter sent to her by Liberia Football Association secretary-general Kollie A. Dorko (Atty.) on 6 February.

    She has been tasked with raising the needed resources and to ensure publicity for an overwhelming fans’ attendance for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa in Johannesburg on 24 March and at the Samuel Kanyon Doe sports complex in Paynesville on 28 March.

    Liberia Telecommunications Corporation managing director Richmond Tobii is co-chair while a representative from the LFA and sports ministry will serve as ex-officials.

    LFA third Vice President Jodie Reid-Seton, Nimba County sub-association chairman Tomah Seh Floyd, Sr., Nimba Kwado Vice President Nemenla Ralph Sonkarlay, Liberia National Olympics Committee Vice President for technical affairs Malcolm W. Joseph, Central Bank of Liberia deputy governor Nyemadi Pearson, Liberia Revenue Authority commissioner-general Thomas Doe Nah, Maritime Commissioner Lenn Eugene Nagbe, former Foreign Affairs Minister Monie R. Captain and Prime FM station manager Kelvin Demey are among prominent Liberians, who are members to the committee.

    LISCT Trust, Jos Travels & Tours, Universal Travels, Winners Liberia Incorporated and Jetty Trading are five businesses/institutions, who will name a representative to complete the membership.
