Bea Mountain, often referred to as the “Gold Boys,” initially dominated the game, taking a commanding lead with goals from Saah Nyumah, Armah Vaikainah, and Success Eze. However, the Warriors replied swiftly, leveling the score just a minute after Bea Mountain’s opener thanks to Siafa Freeman’s quick strike.
Bea Mountain regained their composure and took the lead again through another set piece by Vaikainah, ending the first half at 2-1 in favor of the visitors. After the break, Success Eze extended the lead with a powerful header, making it 3-1.
Despite the odds, Blackman Warriors, under the management of Sam Chebli, rallied in the second half. Towering captain Darius Payne scored a stunning long-range strike, reigniting hope for the home side. The Warriors continued to attack, pressuring the Bea Mountain defense.
The climax came at the very end when Amara Kamara’s diving header completed the Warriors’ comeback. Both teams now find themselves with two points from their last two matches.
Chebli expressed pride in his team’s performance, stating, “We fought hard to earn this point, and with just five more minutes, we could have clinched the victory.” He emphasized the importance of the draw but acknowledged the need for improvement.
On the other hand, Bea Mountain coach Tapha Manneh described the draw as disappointing. “Giving away a 3-1 lead is hard to swallow,” he conceded but remained optimistic about finishing the league strong. He noted defensive lapses, exacerbated by injuries to several key players.
“Conceding goals due to defensive errors is unacceptable, and we must address these issues,” he remarked, while also stressing the importance of regaining form as they aim for league or FA Cup success.
In other league action, Fassell FC’s struggles continued as they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Paynesville FC at the Dorris Williams Stadium. This marked Fassell’s second consecutive loss in the second phase of the league.
Discoveries S.A., meanwhile, continued their impressive debut season with a commanding 4-2 victory over Shaita FC, while Heaven Eleven triumphed over LISCR FC with a convincing 3-0 win at the SKD practice pitch.
