After scoring five goals in one match earlier this year, the son of Liberia’s icon George Weah has signed his first professional contract with PSG.
Paris Saint-Germain have unveiled their latest signing after youngster Timothy Weah put pen to paper on a contract.
Unlike former Southampton cult star Ali Dia, this starlet’s relation to the famous George Weah is 100 percent real, and he looks to be a real talent for PSG in the future.
Weah signed a two-year professional contract with the Ligue 1 champions on Friday, the same day that Zlatan Ibrahimovic announced his imminent departure from the club.
Like his father, Timothy is a striker and a prolific one at that. Just three months ago the youngster managed to score five goals in one match for PSG’s Under-17 outfit, which certainly caught the attention of the footballing world.
There could already be an international fight over the starlet, who is eligible to represent France, the United States and Liberia at national level due to his citizenship and heritage.
His father, George, was arguably Liberia’s finest ever player and enjoyed some of his finest club moments at AC Milan, where he won two Serie A titles, in 1996 and 1999 respectively.
